Star of the Sea Terrigal Condominium, South Pacific
We were part of a group of 16 booked for three nights Fri - Sun in late July. We have recently been advised that they have cancelled our booking with less than 3 weeks notice. This was done via email not even the courtesy of a phone call. The latest confirmation was when we attended the premises only 5 days before the cancellation advice.
Management's attitude was we are sorry but nothing we can do the Warriors want to stay on. Our booking has been in place early December Just not good enough. Would not stay there on principal. Management obviously can't be trusted. Date of stay: July Service. Room Tip: Don't rely on a confirmed booking. There is absolutely no doubt that we understand the disappointment.
When we were offered the Warriors booking to commence late May no one had any idea how long the lock down for travel would be in Australia. We also weren't sure how long the team would need to stay at Star of the Sea. We certainly were led to believe that the entire booking would be finished by the 20th July, The moment we were told by the NRL in early July that their stay was to be extended due to the fear of a 2nd wave of the virus we contacted all bookings with an extensive explanatory E Mail.
It was very gratifying that the vast majority congratulated us on getting the booking and wished us well and that they would re book when things settled down. However the above comments refer to your long standing booking for 3 units so we do understand your complaints. We were able to get 3 x 3 bedroom units in Terrigal at the Amalfi Building but as is your right you did not want this alternate accommodation. We also offered everyone who had to be cancelled an upgrade and significant discount if they booked at another time..
We are very proud of our reputation and having taken over the last 17 years approximately 45, bookings and cancelling no more than 50 due to a variety of genuine reasons we are very hurt to be publicly classified as that Management cannot be trusted Regards bob the boss.
