It is flat in many areas and slightly elevated in others, making it perfect for young and old to access safely. Random seats scattered throughout the park, are the perfect place to sit and drink a coffee from the cafe there. With an abundance of picnic tables, BBQs close by and many car parks to choose from, it is a popular place for families to gather.
It is also a stunning spot to photograph the changing seasons and wildlife. It is an educational place for children. So many bbq area and plenty of spaces! Love all the trees and the river also. My cat totally loves to have a picnic in here :.

The Perfect Spot for a Picnic Barbeque. This is a considerable park area which historically was the farm where a pioneer family once lived. The park surrounds a large lake and toilet blocks are provided for visitors. Date of experience: December Some of the pizzas seemed a bit odd, for example I wonder about asparagus as a topping. I had the Parma. It seemed very much a "processed" parma, not made on premises.
The breadcrumbs were cooked on top but soggy underneath, too much oil. I've had much better at the local pub. I'd been there before and had a quite pleasant time, but this last time around I didn't enjoy it. Quality no nonsense Italian food. We will be visiting regularly with our family.
