This is an oldfashioned market and thankfully hasnt been infiltrated with hideous fluro clothing stalls. The market is located in the cattle pavilion and I would agree that it is cold in there in Winter. Some of the stalls are tired and maybe do need revamping but there is a great friendliness with most of the stall holders.
This is not an high end market but rather a community market of locals and people from surrounding areas. Do try Julie and Graeme's biscuits-they are an absolute winner. I have read the previous comments from other people and I guess what makes this market what it is is that people have a range of items to meet the needs of all. Great for hand knits and hand made soaps. Could do with toilets close to the pavilion and a variety of food stalls to eat.

I remember with slight excitement going to this market years ago, now I'll literally dragged there kicking and screaming. No offence to the sellers and personnel involved but it's just lost its mojo. The same things constantly each week and multiples of stalls with similar items.
It need to vanish as a weekly and return as a monthly to have any hope.

I usually love collectables markets like this, and while I did enjoy browsing this one, I found it largely tired and lacking. Stall holders mostly appear to lack finesse with picking stock, and trade felt stagnant here.
Sifting through the junk had little reward, and traders don't k ow how to centre-piece items to attract buyers and lookers. A lake with canoes, mini motor boats and paddleboats to hire, ducks and swans to feed, space for cricket, many playgrounds, a spinning roundabout, two flying foxes for all ages, mini golf next door, l Great spot for the kids to run around and play! Lovely spot for a picnic too. The grounds are lovely, plenty to do for the little kiddies, multiple playground areas, there are two awesome flying fox l As the title says , what more could you need?
