Setting and service was good but this was possibly the worst pub food my partner and I had ever been presented with. We chose salt and pepper squid which was overcooked and way too salty it really was inedible accompanied by warm over salted chips that made me think they had been reheated in an oven; our other selection, an asparagus risotto, was marginally better, but still very disappointing. I have never written a review before, but I have also never been so disappointed in a meal.
It was a rare night out without kids, I wish we had stayed at home and saved the money. We were guests for a 21st birthday in the High Street Room set up for a cocktail party. Beautiful venue with period features and a fantastic outdoor garden area. There was plenty of finger food, continuously brought around and we had our own private bar and verandah area. Would definitely recommend this for a private function.

Meal was mixed and generally well received. However, I ordered a gm Scotch Fillet, medium rare. Also, quite a lot of gristle in the steak accounting for almost quarter of the meat, so not very good value. All the other steak eaters in the group got what they ordered and quite happy, therefore this review has to be made with that in account. Word of warning, it might be a lottery as to whether you get what you order. Awesome beer garden.
